Welcome to information regarding the Craig Thomas Snake River Headwaters Legacy Act. This site provides information on the Act, how it affects you and your community and allows you to help in developing the management plans that will support the act.

Wild & Scenic designation for these remarkable Wyoming rivers places them in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System, and recognizes them as among “the best of the best” in the United States. This is a badge of honor for all Wyoming residents to be proud of.

To protect for current and future generations … the outstandingly remarkable scenic, natural, wildlife, fishery, recreational, scientific, historic, and ecological values of the rivers and streams of the headwaters of the Snake River System, while continuing to deliver water and operate and maintain valuable irrigation water infrastructure.

Snake Headwaters BBQ and Comment Opportunity!

Join us Friday, Aug. 26th,  from 4 to 7 p.m. to give input on questions and help the Bridger-Teton National Forest develop the Snake River Headwaters Comprehensive River Management Plan.

The Snake River Fund, in partnership with the Bridger-Teton, will be co-hosting a BBQ and public commenting opportunity at the Boy Scout High Adventure Camp, one mile southwest of Hoback Junction on Highway 26/89.  This is a great opportunity for the public to help steer the Forest Service’s management plan.…
